Welcome to our website!

Who we are...
Kenilworth Community Presbyterian Church (we call ourselves KCPC), is a congregation belonging to the Uniting Presbyterian Church in Southern Africa (UPCSA). The UPCSA is a new denomination founded on the union between two older denominations, namely the Presbyterian Church in South Africa (PCSA) and the Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPC). This union took place in 1999. The emblem of the UPCSA is the cross with the burning bush as the background. The image is depicted at the top right of our website. The burning bush is reminiscent of the encounter Moses had with God in the desert. God chose to reveal himself to Moses and call him to liberate Israel from the tyranny of their Egyptian masters. The bush was on fire 'however, it was not being burned up'. To visit the official website of the Uniting Presbyterian Church in Southern Africa, click here.

Our New Approach to Sunday Worship. CLOSE
KCPC is very excited about the launch of a new way of Sunday Worship which began early February 2011. A good number of our congregation are not able to go out at night during the week. In response, we took a decision to pattern our Sunday Morning worship time after what is practised by the Presbyterian church in Brasil and many churches in the USA, namely to include a Bible Study Class in the morning. Our Sunday morning now looks like this:
  • The worship service begins at 9:00a.m. and ends around 10:00 a.m.
  • The congregation enjoys tea and fellowship from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • The various elective Study Groups and the children go to to their classes from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
During the worship service, the children are present and mothers with small children take turns to look after the little ones. There is a Creche that takes care of the little ones for those wanting to attend the Bible Study Class.
